Our travel plans changed when Amtrak called the day before our planned departure to say that no trains could get through the 8' snow drifts in Iowa.  We booked a rental (a Nice! Another one shied away from us in a front yard.  When some neighbors came out to chat, we learned there used to be a peacock farm there years ago.  The owner died and the remaining peacocks lived on, roaming the area.
